VAS European Fellowship of Excellence in Vascular Medicine (EFE-VAS)
European Fellowships
Vas offers two different Fellowships: one to recognize European /International Excellence and the second for Training (both in Clinics or in Research).
They are part of the European Education/Accreditation integrated programme.
VAS can offer European Fellowship of Excellence as honorary Title, in selected cases, at International level.
European Fellowship Eligibility Criteria
At least one of the following 4 options:
1. Educational Excellence
- Professor of Vascular Medicine/Angiology or University Lecturer in Vascular Medicine
- VAS European Teaching Panel Member
- Heads of Centres, Trainers, and Tutors in a UEMS Accredited European Training Center
- Tutors involved in Teaching and Training for at least 5 years
2. Scientific Excellence
- Holder of a Ph.D. or equivalent
- Author of at least 10 publications in peer-reviewed journals (as chosen by the proposer)
- Responsible for VAS Independent European or International Research Projects in Vascular Medicine/Angiology or a related field
3. Clinical Excellence
- Responsible for Vascular Medicine/Angiology Centres/Units/Departments
- At least 5 years of experience working in Vascular Medicine/Angiology Centres/Units
4. UEMS European Diploma in Vascular Medicine/Angiology Holder
- Specialists who have passed the CESMA-UEMS European Exam to obtain the European Diploma in Vascular Medicine/Angiology
