Quality Guarantee Criteria for Education and Training Activities
To guarantee quality to all the Education and Training activities, VAS acts following the below criteria:
- Certified quality of the Teachers and Tutors
Certified quality of Training Centres
Referee to the mail quality indication for Postgraduate and Master Course and to specific area indications (WFME standards and UEMS ETR)
Continuously up dated and improved materials and connected yearly Conferences.
Accredited Platform for eLearning
The VAS International Academy was created in the 2020, to support the above criteria.
The Role of VAS International Academy
The VAS International Academy, encloses two roles, one personal and one as a Centre:
- The VAS International Academy-Teaching Panel (European and International)
- The VAS International Academy- Referee Centre of Excellence

Today more than 120 University Professors, Directors of Departments , Units and Research Centres are Member of the VAS Academy.
Become Members by right of the Academy, the Winners of the Gustav Born and Klaus Breddin VAS International Honorary Awards (for Research and for Education , in Vascular Medicine).
Today more than 55 Centres of Excellence in Europe (and very few outside Europe).
How to become a Member of the Academy ?
Under invitation for qualified CV and existing collaboration. Nominations (not personal) can be submitted to VAS.
How to become a Referee centre of Excellence?
Applications following the criteria reported here.
Both are open to Specialist of Vascular Medicine as well as to Specialists in border areas/sub-areas, to stress the need of an open collaboration in Education to respond to the complexity of every disease and human health condition.
